The 2nd Joint Project Monitoring Committee (JPMC) Meeting for the Gyalsung Infrastructure Project was held virtually on 14 December 2024. The Bhutanese delegation was led by Ms. Leki Wangmo, Secretary, Ministry of Finance, Royal Government of Bhutan, and the Indian delegation was led by Shri. Amit Kumar Mishra, Director (North), Ministry of External Affairs.
The Committee reviewed the status of the project. The India delegation congratulated Bhutan on the successful completion of training for the first cohort of 2,001 Gyalsups on 3 December 2024, and reaffirmed its continued support for the project. The Bhutanese delegation expressed gratitude for India’s steadfast support, highlighting that the support has been instrumental in ensuring the successful launch of National Service this year which is a significant milestone for Bhutan.
